Public Told Days after the event

Ministerial Committee of Inquiry to Advise on the Impact on the Health of the Residents in New Plymouth from the Manufacture of Pesticides was formed and the Chairman was Professor GL Brinkman, the report was published and became commonaly known as "The Brinkman Report"

Ministerial Inquiry 1987 outcome recommended the third 10 fold drop in the allowable dioxin levels in 245t , this made production virtually impossible and was the catalyst for the stopping of 245t production at IWD
